The dichotomy of good, and evil, and pudding.

Ok, so I read this statistic this week:

There are more public libraries than Mcdonald's in the US.

And i was like,  "whoa".  And then I realized how sad it is that I was surprised by this.  Anyways I totally don't want to talk about Mcdonald's because comparing the importance of public libraries to Mcdonald's is like comparing Superman's job with those guys who go around putting those wheel clamps on people's cars.

Without hyperbole, the lowest circle of hell is reserved for those wheel clamp people.

So we're doing this blog thing.  I don't know what the other guys are gonna do but for me, I'm going to share a statistic every time and I also want to talk about what I've been listening to recently and maybe a vocabulary word, for example:

pud·ding
ˈpo͝odiNG/
noun
  1. 1.
a dessert with a creamy consistency.
    "chocolate pudding"
  2. 2.
a sweet or savory steamed dish made with flour.
    "Yorkshire pudding"

    Interesting stuff.

You know what?  I don't think I'm gonna do that every time.  Seems kinda boring.

So this week I wrote an 18 page Policy brief the other night and yesterday I stumbled across this:

and it's totally awesome.  This meme epitomizes my life.

Also sometimes I get really nervous about how Disney/JJ Abrams is going to do Star Wars episode 7.  I actually lost sleep over it once.  It's fine.  At least with the Hobbit we can still read the book which is totally dope.  But with Star Wars their is nothing to ease the pain when they come out with episode 2 which was the worst thing ever.

Some things that aren't the worst thing ever include the new Coldplay album, and this book I'm reading called Round Ireland With a Fridge by Tony Hawks who is a different person than Tony Hawk.  Although he should probably write a book.  Ok upon checking he has.  I'm probably not going to read it.  Round Ireland With a Fridge  is way rad.  It's about some guy who travels the perimeter of Ireland by hitchhiking with a refrigerator.  I'm hoping that he finds meaning in his life by doing so but he has so far only had a bunch of really funny experiences usually involving drunk irishmen.

Also I got an internship offer in California with Usertesting.com for the summer so that's what we'll be doing this summer.

Toodles,
Miles

Blogging. Isn't it About Time?

Whoa what are we doing? So probably 6 months ago, some of my buddies were talking. Like we always do. Miles had this cool idea to start a blog. Nothing specific, in fact, totally random. We figure that if someone wrote once a week about whatever they wanted, that it would be fun. We also realized that in the next year or 2, we will all be doing different things away from each other, so why not do this to stay connected. So each week, there will be a different writer, writing about just about anything they want. Could be advice, could be venting, could be just about anything you wanted. So deal with it. So I guess I will start this shindig.

Oh and here are the people who will be contributing for now. who should we add?

Curtis S - Once had his knee break in the first mile of an Iron Man.  He still finished with a small handicapped kid on his back, without breaking a sweat.
Taylor Z - Has often been equated to a big teddy bear.  He still poops on a toilet though, not in the woods, unless he's camping, which he doesn't like.
Skyler N - Skyler spent 20 years in a Vietnamese POW camp.  It's like, a really touchy subject though.  He doesn't like to talk about it.
Graham O - Graham's favorite song is Rhythm Is A Dancer by Snap!  something about the lyrics is just so daggum provocative.

Miles B - His left thumb used to make a weird clicking noise when he was a kid.  He also had a severe allergy to pollen.  He was told that the two ailments were unrelated.
Taylor K - This guy has ran 43 marathons and still drinks soda. Known as T-NAS-T to the music scene, get excited as he pushed the musical limits past the brink of soul skating.

See you next week.
